Sales rose year over year on higher Epoxy and Winchester volumes, while Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls sales fell. Net income was well below the prior-year quarter as operating issues at the Freeport VCM plant raised costs and cut profit, although Epoxy and Winchester earnings improved. Management expects a weaker fourth quarter due to destocking, feedstock costs, subsidized imports and maintenance turnarounds, and the Huntsman merger is now expected to close early next year.
